The Department of Allied Health Professions (DAHP) has a science-based curriculum that provides a broad background for students interested in rehabilitative therapies. The DAHP offers the Bachelor of Science degree and emphasizes five disciplines:

«      Athletic Training

«      Kinesiotherapy

«      Recreation

«      Speech Pathology & Audiology

«      Therapeutic Recreation

All offerings carry a clinical practicum component.

 

In addition to housing a well-equipped Speech and Hearing Clinic and fully functional Kinesiotherapy Rehabilitation Clinic, the Kinesiotherapy Program enjoys accreditation and endorsement by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Minors are available in Recreation and Speech Pathology and Audiology. All faculty in the DAHP are certified and/or licensed by the State of North Carolina and National Professional Bodies.
