A national search will be conducted to replace Shaw University's President Dr. Dorothy C. Yancy, who is retiring. Dr. Yancy served with distinction as the University's 14th and 16th president, leaving a vibrant institution and a strong platform from which the next President will lead the University to further fulfill its mission and strategic plans.
The next President of Shaw will have a remarkable opportunity to build on the strengths of the first historically Black University in the South and among the oldest in the nation while advancing a strategic vision for the University's future.
