In accordance with federal regulations set forth by the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, the US Department of Education requires institutions participating in federal student aid programs to disclose information from various administrative areas to students. This information is intended to allow students and families to make good decisions as they select a college, ensuring that the university delivers the services promised.

Distribution of Financial Aid
Shaw University will receive the federal, state and institutional funds after the add/drop period is over each semester. Outside scholarships are split into two equal disbursements, half for each semester, unless your donor requests a single disbursement.If your financial aid award exceeds your institutional charges, you will have a credit balance. If you have a credit balance, you should expect those funds to be available within 14 days of the credit being generated on your student account.
